Out of the National Parks. Beautiful scenic drive down the Colorado river. A 1 mile hike with an amazing reward at the end!
Great hike with picturesque views outside Arches National Park. Took us 25 minutes to drive to the trailhead from our townhome and another hour and a half, round trip, to hike it. That's with 20 minutes hanging out by the arch and taking pics.
One of the best short hikes in the Moab area, with one of the greatest rewards! Approx. 1 1/2 miles to this incredibly gorgeous arch, famous for the Corona Arch Rope Swing (no longer allowed!). Look it up on YouTube! This is mostly a gentle hike on slick rock, but a few places to scramble, and a short ladder to ascend a sandstone ridge to get closer to the arch. Beautiful, quiet, scenic! Head north on 191 towards Arches National Park. After crossing the bridge, look for the signs pointing to the Potash Rd (will be a left turn) which is on the northwest side of the Colorado river. Drive down this gorgeous road to the Corona Arch Trailhead. Follow the trail and cairns to the arch! This is on BLM land, not National Park land, so dogs on leash are allowed.

Not in a park, on BLM land. Accessed from the north side of the Colorado River off UT279S. Nice short hike (~1.5 miles one way), very scenic to spectacular arch.
