We recommend the Canal Hopper boat tour, take it from the first pier on the Damrak, signed 'Ecotours'. It's a smaller boat (max 12 people), electric (silent) and much more intimate than the Canal Bus.

As an alternative for the canal boats you can also choose the canal bus drives and also goes in to water. Its a different view to see Amsterdam on the water and specially in a bus!
