To get to this stretch of beach, that is literally covered in “big shells,” you have to enter the Padre Island National Seashore (PINS). Once there, drive down the beach to about mile marker 25. NOTE: 4x4 highly recommended and also be sure to check that it’s a low tide, otherwise you may not make it out or back.
