Can't go wrong with stopping at Bench 1775 for wine tasting!
Bench 1775 in Naramata is one of my favourite spots for an afternoon picnic. The view from the outdoor patio is phenomenal, especially on a nice day, and if you sit on the lower deck, you are allowed to bring your own picnic to go along with a bottle of wine purchased from their tasting room. Wines range from about $20 and up so it's a pretty great deal considering most wineries end up costing you a pretty penny when dining in. I usually bring along a little cooler with some cheese, olives, grapes and bread maybe a roasted chicken from the deli etc and it is perfect!! On weekends, they often have live music which is a nice touch. Last time I was there, they were serving up flat bread style pizza on their upper deck. UPDATE: As of now, Bench 1775 has a small restaurant so you are only allowed to bring your own picnic from Monday -Thursday. Make sure to call ahead to see if picnicking is a still a go as they are sometimes closed for private events.

Excellent wine, plus their tasting room manager is one of our very good friends, and she's delightful.
