The Maritime Museum of Crete was founded in 1973 in order to accommodate and present Greek naval traditions, especially those of Crete, which constitute a part of the national glory. The Museum is the second maritime one in antiquity in Greece, after the Maritime Museum of Greece in Piraeus.

The Nautical Museum of Crete is a museum in Chania, Crete, Greece. Its collection includes models of ships, nautical instruments, painting, historical photographs and war relics. The material is classified chronologically, starting from the Bronze Age up to our times.
