The north Antrim coastline is renowned for its scenic beauty and the Giant's Causeway, 14 miles from Puffins Perch, is its unique jewel in the crown, known to the Irish as the 8th Wonder of the world
The Giant's Causeway is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and well worth the visit while you are here. It's about a 25 minute drive from the flat. There are some lovely hikes around the site as well.
For those with ample time to explore we think a day trip to the Giants Causeway in the North Coast is well worth using a day of your trip on. It is approx. 90 min each way coach journey but well worth it in our opinion
Stand on the hills that gently arc this unique place and you’ll look down on thousands of basalt columns tumbling down into the Atlantic Ocean. It’s an epic sight, with a whopping 40,000 or so of these hexagonal-shaped stepping stones, which date back to a volcanic age almost 60 million years ago.
