Bacchante St, Blackheath, NSW Peak Seasons: most visitors come in spring and autumn to photograph. The 'show-stopping' season is between late-September and mid-November, when the rhododendron and azaleas flowers are spectacular. The autumnal season turns the deciduous trees to their spectacular colour-changes, and later the bare branches are sculptural against the native bushland.

Beautiful all year round. Spring Rhododendrons, Autumn deciduous colour change and winter native flowers. There is something to make everyone happy here. We often take a picnic rug, a bottle of wine and some nibbles to enjoy the birdsong and the clean air for a few lazy hours.
They call Blackheath the Rhododendron Town and this is where you can go to find out why. They grow beautifully in the cool mountain climate and this park is a pretty lovely place to walk around and take it all in - especially in the spring!
Great to see the beautiful display of rhododendron during the garden festival . Gold coin donation to enter the park and enjoy the colourful sights.
