Check out Saltwater Society for great fishing and boating tours in Conception Bay (15-20 min drive). Tour operator Nick is fantastic, and he can cater to pretty much whatever you want to do. (Cod Jigging or even just sight seeing around Bell Island is awesome was to spend a day) www.saltwatersociety.ca for info.
