Big Bend National Park is a three hour drive South from Van Horn. While this is a little bit too far for a day trip from Van Horn, it’s completely worth a detour while you are this far West. The best time to visit Big Bend is Sept-March. Temperatures get well over 100 degrees in certain parts of the park in the summer months.

There are SO many places to explore in the Park, we have stacks of information in our common area to look through.

One of the least visited parks in the USA, Big Bend is EPIC. A fun daytrip from Marfa. The Lost Mines Trail is in the Chisos Basin and gives you a 360 degree view of amazing vistas that reach into Mexico.

It's not close. But is not too far to make that drive. Unless you're going to be back - get out there and see this park!
