Tavern Athitis is close to lake Kournas with a beautiful view over the lake. With delicious food and excellent service. All the taverns at the famous Lake Kournas are recommended. Like Athitis, Omorfi Limni, Neraida e.t.c. Leaving Asi Gonia do not pass the bridge and continue straight then Google maps will lead you. Its round about 20 minutes and 18km from Asi Gonia . You can enjoy lot of activities at Lake Kournas. Most taverns have playgrounds for children. You can rent a pedal boat or kayak or stand up paddle and go around the lake. There are sun umbrellas and sun chairs The lake has a lot of kinds of birds and sea turtles it’s a Biotope. I recommend trying antikristo lamb on the spit, cooked slowly 2-3 hours opposite an outside open fire. You will see the meat hanging around an open fire. Of course in the taverns they are also cafes you can go just to enjoy coffee or drinks.
